In 1999, Multnomah County Library (MLC) began its April Día celebrations, a first in OR. Día Dynamo Ana Ruiz Morillo and her team, creative and persistent Día organizers and grant recipients, have created partnerships with libraries, schools and community agencies. With the Oregon REFORMA chapter, they promote Día state-wide. In 2016, over 3,500 attended the three main MLC April celebrations; over 11,000 attended Día community celebrations throughout the month of April.
