Summer can be a delightfully lazy time, but that’s seldom true for writers. This summer, I’ll be working hard on the final revisions of a book on the zing of creativity. I’ve worked on this book of letters to educators a number of years now. By the time I write you in the fall, the manuscript will have electronically flown off to the kind editor. Whish!
This spring, some teachers confided what librarians have also mentioned. Because they don’t speak Spanish, they can feel intimidated by bilingual books. I so hope that educators and families will dive in and enjoy and share such books, though, given the number of Spanish-speaking children and families in our country and the number of families who want to learn Spanish. Great opportunity to form partnerships.
